there’s something really interesting in this passage that I wanted to point out Trelawney assumes that Harry was born in midwinter because of his “dark hair” and “mean stature” and “tragic losses so young in life” Tom Riddle was born in midwinter, is describe in CoS as resembling Harry, and his mother died right after his birth Harry has a piece of Voldemort’s soul in him that’s why Trelawney made that assumption

TRELAWNY WAS ACTUALLY A GREAT SEER SHE JUST MESSED UP SOMETIMES AND ACTED A LITTLE GOOFY SO NO ONE TOOK HER SERIOUSLY

I am writing to you from Gaza Maybe it’s only me but don’t you too think that the descendants of a people who endured the horrors and pains of concentration camps and Holocaust should be the last persons on earth to actually inflict so much suffering and terrorization on other people? They must know, more than anyone else, how it is like to lose everything that you love dearly and to give up every beautiful dream you have. It’s something I cannot comprehend at all!

So this how it happens, Israeli forces throw a warning rocket into the house and bomb it after 34 seconds.
So, do you think that one minute is enough to take only your personal documents from the home?
Is enough to survive?
Is it enough to take your children out of the home?

so basically this is what they mean by “but we send kind warnings….”

Here you go palmofeyelids, you piece of shit. These are the warnings your precious Israeli fucks give to Palestinians. If there were people in that home, they would not have survived.

Khaled Jarrar, Stamp, State of Palestine #1, 2011.

facebook project | read an interview with the artist here

Governmental documents serve the explicit correlation of identity and affiliation. Palestinian artist Khaled Jarrar uses these attributes as samples for alternative models of identity and anticipates the existence of a state, which until now is mere utopia. He created a stamp with which he stamps passports of travelers and pedestrians in Ramallah, Berlin, Paris and other cities since 2011.

Jarrar is participated in the 7th Berlin Biennale with further aspects of the project that uses another official sign: postage stamps. In utilizing the Deutsche Post AG service called “individual stamp”, the artist produced stamps for the State of Palestine to be used in the regular mail. More than 20,000 stamps have been sold so far. Central element of the design is the Palestine Sunbird. It embodies the wish to create an open, independent country guaranteeing freedom to everyone to carry one’s life in one’s hand. Instead of continuing again and again the discussion about a one- or two-state solution, using these stamps is a simple gesture that creates normality.

Palestinian artist Khaled Jarrar, from the occupied West Bank city of Jenin, has been stamping people’s passports with a seal of a “State of Palestine” to send “a strong political message about our existence as human beings.”

He has invited people to have their passports stamped with the “State of Palestine” seal — his original design featuring a bird and floral motif — in both the occupied West Bank and in Germany.

In this video interview with the German magazine monopol, Jarrar says he chose the site of “Checkpoint Charlie” — the crossing point between East Berlin and West Berlin during the Cold War which is now a tourist attraction where people pay for a souvenir stamp — because checkpoints still are a fact of life in occupied Palestine.

Jarrar explains that Palestinians “are the ones who have the right to welcome anybody to Palestine. And this is my slogan: ‘Welcome to Palestine’ to anybody.”

Quick reminder: While Hamas targets civilians, including babies, children and the elderly, The IDF only targets terrorists.

I am not condoning the acts of the Hamas but if you’re going to be ignorant and dumb about it, I might as well do the same.
Palestine (No Army, Air force, Navy and no military support from anyone): *Makes incredibly inaccurate weapon that can explode a car at the most, fires it at 1 or 2 Israeli civilians. Result- Very rare occasion where the rocket hits a target.
Israel (Has Army, Air force, Navy and heavy military backing from the USA): *Targets via incredibly advanced and accurate missiles that cause 100 times more damage than rockets, several block of flats that may or may not contain terrorists whilst fully knowing that a block of flats is not home to just one family and in fact is home to many more innocent families. Result: severe Palestinian civilian casualties exceeding 200 and The White House cheers on the Israeli government’s actions by claiming it is self-defense.
And the western media take pictures of the destruction caused by Israel in Gaza and claim that the pictures were taken in Israel and that the destruction was caused by Hamas militants.

Thank you. This is the biggest bullshit ‘infographic’ I have ever seen in my life.

Terrifying Tweets of Pre-Army Israeli Teens

A simple search of Twitter for the string ARAVIM, which means “Arabs” in Hebrew, produces a long list of messages by young Jewish Israelis calling to ethnically cleanse the country.

"I’ve really tried to understand the Israelis. I used to work on a farm in Israel. I speak Hebrew. I watch their news. All the time they talk about fear. How they have to run to their bunkers to hide from the rockets. How their children can’t sleep because of the sirens. This is not a good way for them to live.

We Palestinians don’t talk about fear, we talk about death. Our rockets scare them; their rockets kill us. We have no bomb shelters, we have no sirens, we have nowhere we can take our children and keep them safe. They are scared. We are dying.” — Mohammed al-Khoudry, a Palestinian farmer, said in 2012.

According to Gaza’s Ministry of Health, 98 Palestinians have been killed so far and over 600 injured in Israel’s assault on the besieged coastal enclave. In the deadliest single attack since the offensive began, at least seven Palestinian civilians, including five children, were killed when Israeli warplanes bombed several homes in a densely populated area where the victims were sleeping. Bodies were pulled from the rubble of at least three homes and neighbouring buildings. (x)

A Palestinian journalist was killed in central Gaza after his car was bombed. Video footage shows it had been marked as a media vehicle. The Israeli military says it has dropped 800 tonnes of bombs on 750 targets throughout Gaza, more than during its eight-day assault in late 2012. Hospitals in Gaza have been overwhelmed with victims and are running low on basic supplies. Egypt has opened up the Rafah border crossing to evacuate some of the wounded. (x)
